I should've remembered that before choosing this dare.
Anyway, I picked a dare from Tiana Smith (whom I still consider to be a sweetheart even if this vlog makes statements to the contrary). Her dare was: Record yourself reading an excerpt from your novel in a ridiculous accent.
Oh, yes... I did.
Thanks for the fun dare, Tiana! Since this is my first time playing, you get to choose a prize. A $13 giftcard or a young adult book from my secret stash! E-mail me at fridaythethirteeners[at]gmail[dot]com and let me know which you'd prefer.
Thanks again for joining in on the fun! Come back this Friday, June 15th for a post by the uber cool Erin Bowman!

Jenn, this had me in tears! When you were laughing and it almost sounded like crying...HAHAHAHA! And I really do hear Braveheart. You went all Mel Gibson on us, lol. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elsie! I shall now proceed to quote lines from Braveheart at every opportunity:
Delete"They may take our lives, but they'll never take our Freedom!"
;-) My life is now complete.
Hahahahahahahaha
ReplyDeleteahahahaha
ahahahahahaha
This is awesome.
LOL, I live to entertain. ;-) Thanks for stopping by, Kate!
DeleteOMGoodness!! That was awesome :o) You're such a good sport for doing that dare ;o) I think you should get an award for being the first person ever to combine five different accents--hahaha!
ReplyDeleteWell done!!
Haha, thanks Angela. I do try. ;-) I believe there should be an award, with a trophy! And on top of the trophy, a person wearing a beret, a pancho and riding in a gondola. Huzzah!
DeleteBAH! Oh my. This brightens my day.
ReplyDeleteHaha, good! I'm happy to hear it. :)
DeleteJenn, you are amazing. I love everything about this vlog.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Erin! :)
DeleteBwa ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!! I will file this away and watch it when I'm feeling down! You are hilarious. This is one of the many reasons you're my friend--because you don't mind doing something just to make people laugh. Love.
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks, Kasie! I'm glad you see this in the spirit in which it was intended and not just a total and complete Jenn-embarrassment-fest. ;-)
Deletehahaha, oh Jenn, you are the best. I'd peg it as an Irish or Scottish accent, and a pretty good one at that! You don't give yourself enough credit. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha, well I'll take that as a high compliment coming from the Queen of Accents. ;-) Thanks, Ren! :)
DeleteJenn, you are very brave. Aye.
ReplyDeleteAlso, go back to England and tell them there that Scotland's daughters and her sons are yours no more! Tell them Scotland is free!
April - I'm on my way.
DeleteI'll also tell them, "Every man dies, not every man really lives." ;)
I need to go watch Braveheart again now! I love pre-crazy Mel Gibson.
DeleteBy the way, is it wrong that I know almost freaking line in that movie? You guys are obviously cool for being the same.
DeleteWe are all clearly related in our coolness. ;-) And no, it can't be wrong when it feels so right. ;-)
DeleteJenn - you are so cool and so funny. I heart you lots! I can't wait to hang out with you in person soon! I have a feeling we will need grampers because we will pee our pants laughing all together!
ReplyDeleteI heart you right back! Yes, this is a plan we need to put together. Friday the Thirteeners, in-person, laughing, in "grampers" -- and we shall make sure it is well documented by both pictures/videos. ;-)
DeleteSo. In.
<3 Jenn
That was brilliant. Absolute genius. And, between all the laughter, I heard some awesome description of what I'm assuming is New York ("Why should I sleep in a city that doesn't?"-or something).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesomeness!
Thank you! You heard the line right. I'm impressed you could even hear it through the other nonsense going on. I'm so glad you liked it AND found it entertaining. ;-)
DeleteHa ha ha, that was hysterical. You're awesome for being willing to do something like that. And even with the crazy accent, it still made me want to read more! :P
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks, Sara! :-) It was fun! I'm flattered you wanted more!
DeleteHee hee. Jenn, that was just awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carolyn! I'm happy you popped by to have a laugh with us! :-)
DeleteOh, I loved it. That was awesome! You are so brave, lol.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love your author picture.
Thanks, Angie! I try! Haha. ;-) And thank you about my author picture. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
DeleteYou have the cutest laugh ever! Loved it! :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks, Chantele! I certainly laughed a lot while making this vlog. ;-)
DeleteHa ha ha :) LOVED it! Sorry I'm just getting around to it now - we've been moving and I've been Internet-less for waaaay too long now. (Seriously, how did people live before the Internet?) Anyway, I'll email you my choice in the prize - yay!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thanks, Tiana! I'm glad you popped in to check it out. Great dare! :)
